Mewy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Overview
Mewy is operated by App Tricks Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how Mewy handles information when you use the app, including onboarding, face-yoga routines, progress tracking, subscriptions, reminders, support, and optional face scan features.
We keep this policy at a high level so it is easy to understand. We only use information as needed to operate Mewy, personalize the experience, process purchases, improve the app, provide support, and meet legal or platform obligations.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Mewy, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- App identifiers, such as an anonymous app user ID used to operate the app and maintain access to paid features.
- App usage and progress information, such as onboarding choices, routine completion, streaks, check-ins, preferences, and reminder settings.
- User content you choose to provide, such as optional progress photos, notes, quiz responses, or face scan input.
- Purchase or subscription status, such as whether you have access to paid features. Payments are processed by Apple.
- Advertising attribution information, such as the advertising campaign that led to an install or subscription, device identifiers made available by iOS, and mapped conversion events. The Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) is available only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Notification information, if you enable routine reminders.
- Customer support information, such as your email address and message if you contact us.
- Diagnostics and basic analytics, such as app performance, feature usage, device or app information, errors, and similar technical information.
Some information may stay only on your device. For example, progress photos and certain app progress data may be stored locally unless a feature requires processing to provide the service.
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, payment card details, or Apple Health data through Mewy.
Face Data (Camera, ARKit, and TrueDepth)
This section explains how Mewy handles face data collected through the optional face scan.
What face data Mewy collects
Face data is collected only when you explicitly start the optional face scan. On supported iPhones, Mewy uses Apple's ARKit face tracking and the TrueDepth camera to generate 3D facial geometry (a face mesh) and facial expression values, and captures a single photo of your face during the scan. No face data is collected passively or without your action, and you can use Mewy without scanning at all.
How face data is used
Face data is used solely to generate your cosmetic wellness analysis (such as surface-level skin and face-fitness insights) and to personalize your face-yoga routine. Face data is never used for identity verification, authentication, Face ID, biometric identification, or user recognition, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models.
Sharing and processing
The 3D face mesh and expression values are processed entirely on your device, are never transmitted to our servers or any third party, and are discarded when the scan session ends.
To generate the analysis, the scan photo is resized and transmitted securely (encrypted in transit), together with your questionnaire answers, to our service providers strictly for processing on our behalf: Supabase (our backend, which processes the photo in memory), and Vercel AI Gateway, which routes the photo to a vision AI model (currently Google Gemini) configured with zero data retention and no prompt or model training. We do not sell face data, and we do not share it with any third party other than these processors.
Storage and retention
Mewy does not store your scan photo or face mesh. The photo is processed in memory to generate the analysis and is not written to any database or file storage; it is deleted after processing. The face mesh never leaves your device. Only the derived, non-identifying results of the analysis (cosmetic scores and short text insights) are kept, and they are stored locally on your device until you use "Delete App Data" in Mewy settings or uninstall the app.
Optional progress photos are a separate feature: they are stored only on your device with file protection, are never uploaded by Mewy, and are removed by "Delete App Data" or uninstalling the app.
Your control
The face scan is optional: if you decline camera access, Mewy builds your routine from your questionnaire answers instead. You can delete locally stored results at any time with "Delete App Data" in Mewy settings, and you can contact us at privacy@apptricksstudio.com for any privacy request concerning face data.

Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to help us operate the app, process purchases, deliver notifications, understand app performance, provide automated processing where applicable, and respond to support requests.
These providers may process information for us only as needed to provide their services. We do not sell your personal information. The providers involved in processing face scan photos are named in the "Face Data" section above.
Our subscription and measurement providers include RevenueCat (subscription management), AppsFlyer (mobile attribution and advertising measurement), and PostHog (product analytics). When advertising integrations are enabled, AppsFlyer may send mapped install and purchase conversion events to Meta and TikTok so those platforms can measure and optimize Mewy advertising campaigns. These advertising partners do not receive face scans, progress photos, questionnaire answers, or other face data from Mewy.
AI or Automated Processing
Some Mewy features may use automated processing to generate, classify, or validate content and personalize your experience. For example, an optional face scan may help generate surface-level beauty or face-yoga insights and adapt your routine.
These features are for general wellness and beauty purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not make legal, financial, or similarly significant decisions about you.
Tracking and Advertising
Mewy does not display third-party ads. We do, however, advertise Mewy on platforms such as Meta and TikTok and measure whether those campaigns lead to app installs and subscriptions.
AppsFlyer acts as our mobile measurement partner. Mewy and RevenueCat provide AppsFlyer with app and subscription attribution information, including mapped install and purchase events, product or subscription information, transaction value and currency, app identifiers, and device identifiers made available by iOS. AppsFlyer may send the corresponding conversion events to Meta and TikTok for campaign attribution, reporting, fraud prevention, and campaign optimization.
On iOS, Mewy requests permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the IDFA or enabling tracking that requires this permission. If you decline, the IDFA is not made available to Mewy. The app and paid features remain fully usable, and measurement may instead rely on privacy-preserving and aggregated technologies such as Apple's SKAdNetwork.
You can change the tracking permission for Mewy at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. We do not use face scans, progress photos, questionnaire answers, or face-related information for advertising or campaign optimization.
Your Choices
- Delete app data from Mewy settings where supported.
- Delete the app from your device.
- Disable notifications in iOS settings.
- Allow or deny advertising tracking, or change your choice later, in iOS tracking settings.

Data Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to operate the app, provide support, maintain security, improve the product, and meet legal or platform obligations.
Some information is stored locally on your device and remains there until you delete it, delete app data, or uninstall the app. Some records may be retained longer where required for purchases, fraud prevention, security, support, or legal obligations.
Children
Mewy is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use Mewy. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
